My kids are always talking about things they'll invent when they grow up. Recently, Boy (age 5) said he's going to invent a dream keyboard. Here's how it works: Before going to sleep, a person types in what they want to dream about and that's what the person dreams.
I've thought hard about this, and the dream I'd like to program into a dream keyboard is my dad happily running through a field. Really running. No problem. My dad is 82.
What would you like to dream tonight? Keep it clean--I'm a Middle Grade writer.:)

I can almost remember what I dreamt last night but not quite. I'd like to dream about this part in my novel where I'm stuck. I'd like the answer to be in my dream all easy peasy and I'd like to remember it!

I had a dream that I was in a contest and I recall sitting up in my bed and seeing an envelope on my nightstand (it was really there..,my hubby had put a school letter for me to see)and 'dreaming' that it was my elimination letter. When I woke this morning, I saw the actual envelope and laughed. I like your dream WAY better.
My dream is being able to support my family in our current lifestyle through my writing. I don't want more that what I have (well, maybe a deck and finish the basement) and I don't want fame or glory, just the ability to quit my day job and write full time.
I'm pretending this keyboard is my dream keyboard and I just typed it in...
Anita, you "stole" my dream! My dad is 83 and so frail he can hardly walk from the chair to he bathroom. As he was a provincial level sportsman (I think you'd call it minor league in teh States?) this hard for him, and for us - his fan club! - to accept. To see him running into home base after hitting that baseball out of the park again would be a beautiful dream. (That photo made it to the front page of The Chronicle, a Buluwayo newspaper that's now defunct)!

Usually I can not remember what I dream; I always forget it at the moment I wake up. Probably it's not clean ... so I couldn't tell you anyway >:)

JAN: When I'm stuck, I get hit with the answer out of the blue. I love those moments--they make being stuck worth it.
TESS: Well I like that you woke up with a laugh. I did today too. I had a dream that I was teasing my mom about something. It was hilarious!
RICK: I hear you. I'd love to support my family with my writing...or at least take them on a super fun vacation.
JUDY: That's a BEAUTIFUL dream! Thank you for sharing the story. It's so hard seeing this tough daddies get old.
COLD: I always think I'll remember my dreams, but I only do about 1/2 the time.
