Pull up a keyboard and stay a while. I’m a Colorado Springs wife, mom and writer. I’m fluent in tortilla making and running from bears. My YA is represented by Rachel Ekstrom of the Irene Goodman Agency and I'm working on an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University.
DARBY: I really wanted to run today, but I hurt my knees last week and am taking a whole week off (fingers crossed they'll get better without a doctor's visit). Lucky you! Went to a great park with kids, though. Still had fun, even sitting on a bench with frozen peas on my knees.
COLD: Yes, that's PP. Husband asked me to marry him on the summit. We're hoping to climb it next summer.
SHARON: I think Colorado Springs would be a great place to visit. Do show up next year!
Anita, there is nothing worse than wanting to run and an injury slowing you down. I feel for you, woman! Keep icing away and I hope you're back on the road again soon!
COLD: Very sweet of you. Husband and I felt siiick on the way down the mountain...still not quite sure if it was altitude or nerves. 18 years later, we're still together and now living under the Peak.
JONATHON: I hope you had a great weekend...I'll post a snowy day photo sometime (from inside the house), so you'll know it's not always perfect here (though it is about 99.9% of the time). :)
CHARLIE: 2023! I'll be waiting with snacks!
MG: I think it was actually in the 70s that day, but I know what you mean about that yummy cold, clean air...filters out the brain.
DARBY: I've been babying it all weekend...Husband and I tried swimming for exercise yesterday. It was haaard. But I'm going back today...maybe I found a new sport???
PMM: A PMM sighting! I hope your writing is going well and that you haven't given up. Totally want to see your name on the book shelves.

No kidding! I just got back from running Section 16! Glory day!
I agree! Colorado is fantastic. Is that Pikes Peak in the picture? I've been at the top twice ... with the cog railway, never hiked all the way up >:)
Cold As Heaven
Wow, that is beautiful! We had planned on a trip to CO this summer, but my husband had too many things come up at work. Maybe next summer. :)

P.S. There was no color alteration on this photo.
I would have done that too, if I met you on the summit, Anita >;)

Well, I don't live in Colorado, I live in Michigan and it was in the thirties today... Tomorrow is supposed to be in the fifties though.
You've just given me another reason to move there; the stunning view. I can't wait until 2023!
Ooh, I can feel that cold, thin air in my lungs. I'd love to be there.

Nice here too. But football's on.
