Pull up a keyboard and stay a while. I’m a Colorado Springs wife, mom and writer. I’m fluent in tortilla making and running from bears. My YA is represented by Rachel Ekstrom of the Irene Goodman Agency and I'm working on an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University.
The kids and I love tortillas too, but we always buy them in the supermarket, don't know how to make them. Maybe you can post your favorite tortilla recipe some time?
Oh, wow! I love it! And very impressed that you and your hubby made it! I love how you used handwritten notes for it. Did you scan them to use them for the site? Congrats!!
When I saw your handwriting, I just knew it was yours. It felt like you. And don't even think about telling me that's not your handwriting. I can tell it is.
DARBY: Thanks! We're busy baking here, too...incredible # of cookies in the kitchen and we just keep making more.
RENA: Thank you! It all kinda just came together and worked.
KELLY: I wrote the notes on paper and then Husband scanned them with this new, ultra-fancy scanner/copier thingy that we had to buy in order to keep our family together (the old one had a history of not printing when people most needed it to...like two minutes before the bus arrives). Anyway, I'm not excatly sure how Husband did it, because I was churning out papers at the same time, but Middle Daughter and I want a lesson.
PMM: Thank you!
TRACY: Yeah, we had the hardest time finding the freakin sharpies...why can't those things stay put? The Cheese Touch rocks...perhaps my fav part of the series...Middle Daughter had something similar happen with a strawberry on the bus step.
JONATHON: Thank you! Yeppers, it's my writing. And I am so impatient, I'd just scribble them out and work around mistakes...I can't stand doing work twice (unless of course it's revisions and needs the work).
I KNOW! I'll add Ozzy sometime and I should probably put something about my MFA and my freelance work. But for now, we're calling it good.
Catching up after a hectic time! Love, love, love the website! Very "you" and also so innovative! You haven't changed a bit from middle grade (except your hair is done now!) :)

Cold As Heaven
LOVE it. Did you design it?
COLD: Good idea!
STEPHANIE: Yes...my husband and I did this on Weebly...lots of fun!
What a charming website - it has a perfect MG feel to it. Congratulations on the newest "member" of your family!
(I enjoy making tortillas, too. But right now, I churning out batches of bizcochitos!)
It looks great, Anita. I love the composition book home page. :)

Nice work. Like the Sharpie Touch. Kind of like the Cheese Touch.
