Writing goals
I get the most work done when I set goals. And since it's a fresh week, approaching a fresh month, I've set this goal: A thousand words a day for the month of May. How about you? Do you set writing goals?
Absolutely! With first drafts, I do pretty well free-wheelin' it. I just love putting words on the page. With revision, I work much, much better with a deadline- even self imposed. Good luck with your 1k a Day May!
Now that I'm babysitting 9 hrs. a day, I'm thankful to get anything done! My goal is to get through the day! LOL! Yay for you setting a goal of 1,000 words a day. That's great, Anita. And I know you can do it.
LILY: Thanks for your good luck! I'll keep you posted on how it goes.
TONY: Well, your blog IS great. For me, finishing the next novel is very high on the priority list. It's an addiction. So, maybe I'm purposely limiting the number of words I'm allowing myself, rather than making certain I get to a certain number. :)
LYNNERD: Nine hours/day?! That's some dedication. I hope you do find time to keep writing!

I don't set any goals. I barely find time to update my blog once a week.
